Kentucky Utilities Home Energy Assistance Program
KU/HEA
In January 2005 Lake Cumberland Community Action Agency, Inc was awarded the Kentucky Utilities Home Energy Assistance Program (KU/HEA). In the counties that are serviced by Kentucky Utilities, approximately ninety (90) households are served in four peak heating months and three peak cooling months. Participants receiving this assistance have made contact with the CSBG Outreach staff and reported having a credit on the KU electric bill. The KU/HEA program participants will receive credits on their monthly KU account during the peak heating months of December, January, February and March and the peak cooling months of July, August, and September. Each monthly credit is $42.00, for a total $294.00 per year.
