Wintercare is
a statewide
energy
assistance
fund operated
by Community
Action
Agencies.
Contributions
are received
by utility
companies and
used to pay
electric
bills,
connection and
re-connection
fees. All
donations
received go
directly to
benefit
clients.
There
are no
administrative
fees paid to
the utility
company or
LCCAA.
Eligibility
Wintercare
income
eligibility is
150% of
Federal
poverty
guidelines.
Wintercare
benefit
recipients
must be
customers of
participating
utility
companies.
